IELTS GT Writing Task 1 - Your former home stay family is coming to see you
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Johnson,
Hi there! I hope you all are doing well. It was so good to hear from you and I was so surprised and happy to hear that you are visiting my country in few days. I am sure that you will thoroughly enjoy the holidays and your stay here. Moreover the climate here is so bright and sunny that it is really convenient to travel the destinations during this season in my country.
As you already said you are going to stay in a hotel at the capital city, it is quite far from my home. I hope you will be free on February 4th and 5th so that we can meet on 4th February. When you come to Cochin call my cell phone or send me an SMS two hours prior so that I can meet you there. Early morning (around 9.00 am) would be better but I can meet you anytime you want. We will have our lunch together in a restaurant where I went many times and I quite like their environment and food.
There are many tourist spots in Cochin so I am sure you both will enjoy your time. I will be very glad if you agree to stay at our home for couple of days as my parents are very eager to meet you. I have told them about you and they are expecting you to visit our home as soon as you can. During your stay at our home we can go to see popular historical museums, beaches, amusement parks and other attractive palace near my hometown. We would love to give you a taste of our traditional foods.
